Dr. Stephen H. Fehnel, MD has moved his private practice in Gynecology and Urogynecology to 740 Penn Ave in West Reading after 39 years at the Doctors Office Building at The Reading Hospital. 

Dr. Fehnel is Board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology

Dr. Fehnel provides the full spectrum of outpatient Gynecologic care.  He preforms major pelvic surgery for gynecologic pathology and pelvic organ prolapse and urinary incontinence at Tower Health at The Reading Hospital and Spring Ridge Surgical Center. 

He also is accomplished in minimally invasive laparoscopic gynecologic surgery.

Multichannel urodynamic testing is available at his office for the workup and treatment of urinary incontinence.

State of the art abdominal and pelvic ultrasound is preformed at his office and Dr. Fehnel is certified by The American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine to preform and interpret ultrasound images.

Dr. Fehnel is also certified by the International Society for Clinical Densitometry for the diagnosis and treatment of osteoporosis.

Dr. Fehnel  has been the Principal Investigator in over 100 clinical research studies involving Women’s health care and the treatment of osteoporosis.

Dr. Fehnel did  his undergraduate studies and received his Bachelors degree from The Pennsylvania State University and received his M.D. degree at Jefferson Medical College in Philadelphia, Pa.

He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pa.  and came to Berks County to join The Woman’s Clinic, Ltd at The Reading Hospital.
